The Reef HQ of Townsville, Queensland
Reef HQ, located in the Australian city of Townsville, Queensland is the world’s largest coral reef aquarium. This aquarium was constructed as a part of the state’s Bicentennial Commemorative scheme. The coral reef exhibit housed by Reef HQ is home to almost 130 species of coral and 120 rare fish species. Besides these, the place also houses several other sea organisms; examples include sea urchins, brittle stars, snails, sponges, worms, sea cucumbers and feather stars.Reef HQ will entertain visitors of all age groups coming here. The children will get to take part in creatively planned craft activities organized during the weekends. There are also special holiday programs arranged for children during their school vacations. Naracoorte Caves
The Naracoorte Caves National Park is situated near the border shared with Victoria at the south east corner of South Australia. This is part of a World Heritage site that features two non contiguous fossil mammal sites in Australia. The Naaracoorte Site is one among the two, and is located in South Australia, whereas the other is located in Riversleigh, Queensland, more than two thousand kilo meters away. The Naaracoorte Site encompasses three hundred and five acres if area. It is inclusive of a series of ridges of stranded coral reefs that are South American coast line as well as the caves. The World Heritage Site that comprises of two Australian fossil mammal sites was compiled in 1994. Mount Kosciuszko is the highest mountain in Australia. It is not really a difficult climb, and is popular with amateur climbers. Like many mountain peaks in Australia it is not a very difficult climb. Mount Kosciuszko can be accessed via Charlotte pass, which is the nearest point you should reach to climb the mountain. The Charlotte’s Pass can be accessed via a road, and from here on it is just a five mile walk to the summit of the peak. The peak can be climbed by anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. The Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park is located at a distance of four hundred sixty two kilo meters to the south west of the city of Alice Springs.
